Trash

Trash is a new installation by Mexi Lane at MIC-Imagin@rium. The landfill is a state of mind, a sense of social and cultural degradation. Hop in a bulldozer or float on by in a tire as the scenery becomes a framework, for the art. There is also a photo contest, and photos sent by visitors of the site will be exposed to the MIC.

Second Life history is on display at the Dryland Gallery with premier Second Life photographer Ziki Questi's "Lost Second Life" exhibition. With imagery from 40 signature abandoned sims, this is a must see for veterans and beginners alike.

Each week we bring you one of Second Life's talented spoken word performers who will perform in voice.  Once in a great while, we host a literary open mic.

This week: "Freda Frostbite performs in Second Life. Paradise Lost and Found. Freda Frostbite who is the author, Stephanie Mesler, in her first life, will perform selections by  tropical authors, including Staceyann Chin, Pablo Nerada, and herself."

There really is art to writing good erotica and, no, erotica isn't just a fancy word for porn.  Of course, porn is in the eye of the beholder. Book Island in Second Life will host weekly erotica workshops starting at 3 pm SLT.*  Each session, participants will be given a writing prompt, a verbal or visual cue meant to inspire writing.  We'll spend three quarters of an hour writing and then end each session with an opportunity to share what we have written.  Some of those pieces may even be shared here on A Poet's Progress.
