Special Events

The Winter Safety Game

Winter weather can be a killer. The challenge of The Winter Safety Game is to prepare your home, barn, and car for a winter blizzard and travel safely through it to Grandma's 75th birthday party. Score points by interacting with content, encountering a variety of hazardous situations and problems to solve. Collect enough points to access skating, fireworks, and prizes at the party.

Read Grey Lupindo's review of the Winter Safety Game (Here).

Bailey (128/128/23)

The Surreal Complex

Visit The Surreal Complex in February for an unforgettably surreal experience. Admire works of art in the museum, wander through fairy tale forests (try not to get eaten or poisoned by the plants), even fly through cloudy dreams. The Surreal Complex is a shopping event and a creative exhibit to show off what creators in Second Life are capable of. Bring your friends and prepare to take lots of pictures.

Jack and Jones (207/114/1996)

Reality Check Cafe

How much exercise will it take to burn off your restaurant meal? Explore the relationship between calorie intake and physical activity, and the importance of making smart choices when dining out. Order from the menu and get a personal report of the activity needed to offset calories consumed. Presented by Cooperative Extension, Reality Check Cafe is a newly-designed restaurant and features new cuisine biweekly.

Morrill3 (224/57/24)

Trash

Trash is a new installation by Mexi Lane at MIC-Imagin@rium. The landfill is a state of mind, a sense of social and cultural degradation. Hop in a bulldozer or float on by in a tire as the scenery becomes a framework, for the art. There is also a photo contest, and photos sent by visitors of the site will be exposed to the MIC.
